The Huron County Christmas Bureau has deep roots in our community, having supported local families for over 57 years.
Over those years, the Christmas Bureau has grown and changed to meet the evolving needs of families. Each year, between 600 and 800 families, including over 1000 children, receive gift cards for local grocery stores and toy retailers to ensure every family had food on the table and gifts under the tree. As housing, food, and living expenses continue to rise, the number of families in our area experiencing financial hardship may continue to grow, making the holidays a difficult time.
The Huron County Christmas Bureau is funded by donations from the community. For over 57 years, churches, schools, community organizations, businesses, and caring individuals have worked together to ensure every child in our community experiences the wonder of Christmas. Please join us in continuing this very special Huron County tradition.
Rural Response for Healthy Children wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the Huron-Perth Children's Aid Society for its ongoing partnership and support of this important program, and to the many volunteers and Bureau sites throughout Huron County that are committed to continuing this work.
