    What does RRHC do?
    We work to protect the rights of children, reduce child abuse and neglect, and strengthens families to nurture their children through innovative programs, effective supports, advocacy and community partnerships.

    Our Kinderoo School Readiness Program for 3 and 4 year olds supports and strengthens children's self awareness, confidence, social skills and self-esteem. These attributes help children to prepare for and succeed in school.

  • The Kids on the Block
    Through the use of puppetry, our Kids on the Block Program is delivered in area classrooms and educates Grades 3 and 4 students about physical abuse and sexual abuse.

    Our Personal Safety for Children with Different Abilities Program focuses on the safety of children and young adults with different abilities, their parents, teachers caregivers and professionals working with families.

    Programs and workshops on Budgeting, Creative Saving and Economic Options. Information on RESPs and how to get FREE MONEY from the Government of Canada for your children's post-secondary education.
  • Father Involvement
    Dads who support, nurture and stay positively involved in their children’s lives can help children feel better about themselves, succeed academically and become better problem-solvers.
  • Support, Educate, Advocate
    Our Parent Support and Education team offers individual and group programming for parents and care-givers. We use participatory models and strengths-based approaches to work with, support and strengthen families.

Rural Response for Healthy Children (RRHC) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization and registered charity that provides innovative and effective programs, services and supports to at-risk families in and around Huron County. Established in 1987 through the efforts of a responsive community, RRHC works to protect the rights of children, reduce child abuse and neglect and strengthen families to nurture their children.
